6K a year The Windlass is seeking hardworking individuals to join their team! The Host is the first impression guests will get of the restaurant whether it is on the phone or when they come in.
Hosts must be well groomed, even tempered, agreeable, well-spoken and fast witted.
Hosts, in conjunction with the kitchen, keep the pace of the restaurant even and efficient.
General
Job Description:
Keep host station organized, clean and maintained at all times Field emergency calls to your colleagues on duty Hosts are often quite literally the first person a customer will come into contact with either in person or by phone.
Just like a host of a party, a Windlass host must greet guests as if we have been waiting for them to arrive all day long.
Kind, professional and immediate recognition of customers entering our door is a must.
Hosts must know the menu, daily specials, general restaurant information, table sections, dining room stations, and fellow FOH employees on duty Hosts manage the phones, take reservations, record messages and answer customer questions Hosts will take coats and packages from customers (birthday cakes, decorations being dropped off, etc) On occasion a host may be asked by the manager on duty to assist with service, cleaning tables, maintain the dining room.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
